Hotel Location and Transportation

Where is the hotel located?

AT&T Hotel and Conference Center is located at 1900 University Avenue, Austin, TX 78705. The hotel is in Downtown Austin on the University of Texas Campus. This area is also part of Central Austin and within the museum district.

What type of travelers is this hotel best for?

With the hotel’s location on the University of Texas Campus, it is best for visitors to the University, including parents and alumni. The hotel is also a prime location for Texas Football going to DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium and Texas Basketball fans and music fans going to Moody Center.

The hotel also hosts business travelers and conference attendees in addition to Austin tourists.

Is parking available at the hotel?

Yes, hotel parking is available in the attached Conference Center Garage. Guests may self-park or use our valet services at the University Avenue entrance. For events in the Zlotnik Family Ballroom, parking is also available in the attached Rowling Hall Garage.

Is parking free or paid?

Parking in the Conference Center Garage and valet parking are paid. Hourly parking ranges from $3-21. Overnight hotel guests may obtain a parking card at the front desk for $21 per night.

How far is the hotel from downtown?

The hotel is located in Downtown Austin and it is 1 mile from 6th Street’s entertainment district, which is a less than 10 minute drive away.

Is the hotel close to the University of Texas Campus?

The hotel is the only hotel located on the University of Texas Campus.

How far is the hotel from the airport?

AT&T Hotel and Conference Center is located 8.5 miles, approximately 15-20 minutes from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

How do I get to the hotel from the airport?

AT&T Hotel and Conference Center does not offer an airport shuttle, but guests can reach the hotel via rideshare services, taxis, or private car services.

Is the hotel walkable to attractions?

Yes, the hotel is located in Austin’s museum district. Museums in walking distance include the Blanton Museum of Art, Bullock Texas State History Museum, and Harry Ransom Center. Also nearby are the LBJ Presidential Library and the Texas Science and Natural History Museum.

The hotel is 0.6 miles away from Moody Center, about a 15-minute walk. Moody Center is a world-class arena hosting international artists and acts. It is also the home of Texas Basketball.

Is the hotel walkable to restaurants?

In addition to the four dining options located on the property, the hotel is located in walking distance to multiple casual and fast casual dining options.

Is public transportation nearby?

The hotel is located near several CapMetro bus stops.

The AT&T Hotel and Conference Center is located at 1900 University Avenue, Austin, TX 78705. It is downtown on the northwest corner of Martin Luther King Boulevard and University Avenue, at the south entrance to The University of Texas at Austin.

Yes, a fitness center is available to hotel guests. It features treadmills, ellipticals, Peloton bikes, free weights, exercise balls, and mats.

The heated pool is located outdoors.

How many hotel rooms are there?

The hotel has 297 rooms with king or double queen beds.

Can I request extra beds or baby cots at the hotel?

We have pack-and-plays and rollaway beds available for request. Requests are recommended at time of reservation. Requesting at check-in is subject to availability.

Are toiletries and hairdryers provided in the rooms?

Yes, our hotel rooms have hairdryers and bulk soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion.

Is there an iron and ironing board in the rooms?

Yes, we have an iron and ironing board in our hotel rooms.

Yes, spacious desks with a comfortable chair are in each room for remote work.

What type of cuisine is offered at AT&T Hotel and Conference Center’s dining outlets?

Our restaurants generally serve American food. Gabriel’s lunch and dinner menu serves salads, sandwiches, and tacos. The Carillon’s breakfast features continental breakfast items such as pastries and made-to-order egg dishes. For lunch, The Carillon’s menu rotates between cuisines. The Carillon’s dinner menu features American food with Texas ingredients.

Does the hotel have an on-site restaurant?

The hotel has two on-site restaurants and two coffee shop/grab-and-go options.

  • The Carillon serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast and lunch buffet options are available at The Carillon while dinner offers a la carte and prix fixe menu options and a stellar wine list.
  • Gabriel’s is a casual concept that serves lunch and dinner with a full bar. TVs in Gabriel’s show the latest sports games and news.
  • One Twenty 5 Cafe is our coffee shop for grab-and-go breakfast and lunch items.
  • Moontower Cafe is located in Rowling Hall and serves breakfast and lunch. It features a coffee bar, salad bar, and made-to-order grill items.

Is room service available?

Yes, room service is available daily from 7 am - 10 am and 4 pm - 11 pm.

Is breakfast included in the room rate?

Breakfast is not included in the room rate unless you have booked a Bed and Breakfast Package.

Is there a bar or lounge at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center?

Yes, our restaurants Gabriel’s and The Carillon both have a full bar.

Hotel Reservations and Policies

What time is check-in?

Check-in time is 3 pm.

What is the cancellation policy?

For reservations booked directly with the hotel, your reservation can be changed or cancelled without a fee up to 24 hours before your scheduled arrival date. Special events cancel policy may apply.

What time is check-out?

Check-out time is 12 pm.

Can I request a late check-out or early check-in?

Late check-out and early check-in can be requested and we do our best to accommodate.

How can I confirm my reservation?

After making your reservation, you were sent a confirmation email. You can call our reservations department at 512-404-3600 to check your reservation.

Is a deposit required to book?

A deposit is typically not required to book. Deposit requirements for special event dates may apply.

Are pets allowed at the hotel?

Pets are not allowed at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center due to University of Texas at Austin regulations. The only exception is service animals. Please inform hotel management of the need for service animals prior to arrival and at check-in. Animals that do not meet service animal criteria will not be allowed to stay at the property. The front desk will have information about alternative boarding options available. Thank you for your cooperation.

Does your hotel have meeting rooms?

Yes, AT&T Hotel and Conference Center has 85,000+ square feet of meeting space in 53 rooms. The rooms range from ballrooms to small offices.

How many people can your largest room hold?

The Zlotnik Family Ballroom is our largest space and is 15,000 square feet. It can hold a maximum of 1600 people for receptions and theatre seating and 800 people in classroom seating.

Do you provide catering?

Yes, we provide catering at our hotel. Our talented culinary team prepares food and drinks for groups of all sizes daily.

Can I book a room block?

Yes, we book room blocks with a minimum of 10 rooms.
